Dallas Mavericks Lose to Grizzlies in Close Preseason Contest

Hardy, Lively II, Keys Impress in Second Preseason Game

Prospect Max Prosper Makes Solid First Impression

The Dallas Mavericks dropped their second preseason game to the Memphis Grizzlies 101-98 on Thursday night. Despite the loss, several players stood out for the Mavericks, including second-year guard Jaden Hardy, rookie first-round pick Dereck Lively II, and undrafted rookie Braxton Keys.

Hardy led the Mavericks in scoring with 16 points on 6-of-15 shooting. He also added 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Lively II had a solid performance with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Keys made the most of his opportunity, scoring 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting and grabbing 5 rebounds.

Rookie first-round pick Olivier-Maxence Prosper struggled in his first NBA action, shooting 0-for-7 from the field and finishing with 2 points. However, he did show some flashes of his potential with 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.

The Mavericks will look to bounce back from their loss when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night.
